St. Peter’s Walkers – May – June 2012 schedule:

All walks are on Sunday afternoons, starting at 12:30 at church, unless you have made another arrangement with the leader. (Easy= flat, not too many roots; moderate: may be up and down and tree roots; difficult: longer, more up and down – check with leader for more info.)

April 29: Trent River: Dan Seaberg(250-871-6161) moderate

May 6: Elk River: Jennifer (250-334-2321) moderate

May 13: no walk – Mother’s Day

May 20: Seal Bay: Gary Wiffen(250-339-5378) down steep trail to beach – beach life (eagles, seals, herons etc.) up trail to cliff top. If the group wishes we can extend hike by also walking on the West side of the road – lily ponds, west coast forest. Moderate

May 27: Lazo Marsh: Ed Dawson(250-339-2593) A beautiful Comox walk – marsh life – forest. Easy

June 3: Mud Bay: Jennifer A walk through the crazy forest – carved out trees and messages eccentric and novel. Easy

June 10: Rosewall Creek: Ed About an hour’s walk up the pretty Rosewall creek to a little waterfall. Difficult (some steep sections)

June 17: Nile Creek: Dan. Wander up the Nile –but you won’t see the pyramids or the Sphinx. Moderate

June 24: Nymph Falls: leader (TBA) A pleasant walk down to the falls and parallel to the river. Moderate
