On Saturday, July 6, we will be holding our final 5:40 service of the summer. The whole church is invited to join us at Selah Campground for a BBQ and a short service, as we wrap up this year of 5:40 services, and reflect on what God has been doing in our parish, and what He continues to do!

Please consider coming with a passage of Scripture to share, or a word of praise or thanksgiving, or something that God has taught you over the past few months – we’ll have a brief open sharing time.

If you can come, please RSVP to admin@stpeterscomox.ca by Thursday at noon, so we make sure to have enough food for all!

We will provide meat, buns and bottled water, as well as dessert; please bring a salad, fruit or veggies if you can!

There are tables and chairs provided, but if you’d prefer a soft camp chair, feel free to bring your own. :)

Here are the directions to Selah campground:

You can get there from Headquarters Road by following the road as it curves left and goes over the new bridge onto Piercy Road, and to a 4-way stop at Piercy and Condensory Roads.  Turn left onto Condensory at the 4-way stop, and then take the first right onto Cessford Road.

Or, you can go straight through town on Cliffe Ave till it ends after the museum and turn right down the hill, then left at the bottom and along Condensory until you see Cessford.  Turn left onto Cessford Road.

Drive all the way to the end of Cessford, passing a large dairy barn (Viewfield Farm) and then a big field (if you drive until the road curves to the right and turns into Grieves Crescent, you've gone too far).

The road will veer to the left, onto a gravel road (there will be a signpost). Follow the gravel road slowly as it winds along, until you reach the parking area of Selah. Walk down to the campground, and we will meet you there! (For handicapped parking, please drive down the hill.)

We hope to see you there!

Blessings,

The 5:40 Team
