This coming weekend, there will be information about the Transforming Futures initiative at each of the three services. Walter Stewart is a retired university administrator and businessman and people’s warden of the Anglican parish of Salt Spring. Deeply committed to the church, he is co-chair with Bishop Logan of the Transforming Futures (TF) initiative. He will be speaking at all three services as we as a parish grapple with the call to be transformers of life within the church and beyond in the larger community.

A printed presentation of what Transforming Futures could mean for St Peter’s will be available after each of the services. Because this diocesan-wide initiative may be a vital part of our parish’s future, there will also be a drop-in consultation from 4 to 7 pm in the church hall on the following Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22. This will be an opportunity to consult with some of the St Peter’s team responsible for this initiative and record your thoughts and priorities. These will then be reflected in a report the team will make to the annual Vestry meeting on February 18th where the parish will be asked to decide our participation in Transforming Futures.
