In Loving Memory of Ed Dawson
This photo of Ed Dawson was taken in the spring of 2019. Ed received the Order of the Diocese of British Columbia for his years of dedicated and faithful service to St. Peter's Comox. Ed was born in Comox at St Joseph's Hospital on February 27,1942 and died on September 11, 2026 at The Views, Comox, with loved ones by his side. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters and he and Helen attended our church together for 50 years. Ed served the congregation as Rectors warden, bible study leader, coordinator of the Prayers of the People roster and so much more! He was a kind, gentle and loving man of faith The memorial service to celebrate Ed's life will be held on |

Celebrating the Installation of Reverend Francis Spencer
We are overjoyed to invite our entire church community to celebrate a momentous milestone in our parish.
with renewed hope and vision.
We invite you to join us in the sanctuary as we surround Reverend Spencer and his family with our warmth, prayers, and support. This service is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the start of his ministry and to realign ourselves with our shared mission of faith, fellowship, and service to others.
Following the installation, please join us for a reception in the church hall to continue the celebration and welcome the Spencer family.

Join Our Prayer Chain Community
At St. Peter’s, we believe in the comforting power of shared prayer. If you or someone you love is facing a difficult time, experiencing illness, or going through a major life transition, you do not have to
carry that burden alone.
Our dedicated prayer chain ministry is ready to lift your intentions in confidential prayer. To submit a request, email your prayer needs to prayer@stpeterscomox.ca. Please indicate if you would like your request to be private within the prayer team
or shared with the wider parish community.

Altar Flowers
Many thanks to everyone who has donated altar flowers over the summer. It has been so lovely having them to enhance our beautiful church. We are now entering a new season when garden flowers are less plentiful, and we could use more donors to keep this project going. There is a book just inside the church where people can sign up either in memory of someone or just a straight donation. Then one of us will contact you about the details. We look forward to your participation in keeping flowers on the altar. |

Donations for our Food Shelf
Our food shelf is running low on several essential daily items, and we need your support to keep our shelves stocked and our neighbours supported. Right now, we would particularly appreciate donations of hearty breakfast and lunch staples like honey, peanut butter, and jam, alongside warm beverages including tea and coffee. For shelf-stable dinners and sides, we are urgently seeking grains like quinoa and rice, as well as canned food items such as tuna, salmon, vegetables, or fruit. We also want to provide comforting treats and everyday essentials, so we are collecting cookies, crackers, snack foods, and everyday condiments like ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Finally, we are running low on personal hygiene necessities, specifically soap, body wash, and shampoo. Thank you to everyone who's been stopping by with donations! |
