Update on 10:30 AM Sunday Service Volunteer Scheduling
For the benefit of all parishioners, the following describes recent changes to the scheduling of volunteers for the In order to ensure that all positions are reliably covered each week, integrated rosters have been developed to cover Greeters, Readers (x2), Prayers and Chalice Bearers. This ensures that individual parishioners are not serving in two roles at once, and that specific volunteers are not serving too often regardless of role. All rosters have been loaded onto Sign Up Genius (including subsequent "swaps", messaged to Boyd), as well as other roles that are self scheduled (AV, sacristy, coffee). This ensures that there is a real time record of who is scheduled in each role each Sunday, and that reminder emails, that are so important, are issued to all concerned. Having switched to this "hybrid" system (Rosters/Sign Up Genius) for the 10:30 AM services, we are no longer looking for volunteers However, we very much want to encourage others to volunteer on future rosters. There will be further information provided to the congregation regarding this process, during the 10:30 AM services over the next few weeks. Please note that none of the changes described above apply to the 8:30 AM services. Reliably filling all positions for all 8:30 AM services has not been a problem. Parishioners who attend at 8:30 AM should continue to use the website or the link in the newsletter, to connect to Sign Up Genius, and to enter their name by the date and the role |

Altar Flowers
Many thanks to everyone who has donated altar flowers over the summer. It has been so lovely having them to enhance our beautiful church. We are now entering a new season when garden flowers are less plentiful, and we could use more donors to keep this project going. There is a book just inside the church where people can sign up either in memory of someone or just a straight donation. Then one of us will contact you about the details. We look forward to your participation in keeping flowers on the altar. |

Join Our Prayer Chain Community
At St. Peter’s, we believe in the comforting power of shared prayer. If you or someone you love is facing a difficult time, experiencing illness, or going through a major life transition, you do not have to
carry that burden alone.
Our dedicated prayer chain ministry is ready to lift your intentions in confidential prayer. To submit a request, email your prayer needs to prayer@stpeterscomox.ca. Please indicate if you would like your request to be private within the prayer team
or shared with the wider parish community.

Donations for our Food Shelf
Our food shelf is running low on several essential daily items, and we need your support to keep our shelves stocked and our neighbours supported. Right now, we would particularly appreciate donations of hearty breakfast and lunch staples like honey, peanut butter, and jam, alongside warm beverages including tea and coffee. For shelf-stable dinners and sides, we are urgently seeking grains like quinoa and rice, as well as canned food items such as tuna, salmon, vegetables, or fruit. We also want to provide comforting treats and everyday essentials, so we are collecting cookies, crackers, snack foods, and everyday condiments like ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Finally, we are running low on personal hygiene necessities, specifically soap, body wash, and shampoo. Thank you to everyone who's been stopping by with donations! |
