New St. Peters Address
As July 1, 2026 fast approaches, and Francis and his family arrive to take up residence in the Rectory, they need a unique address to ensure that only their personal mail is delivered to the house.
Accordingly, arrangements have been made with the Town to assign a unique address to each of our three buildings: the Church House is 218A, the Church is 218B and the Hall is 218C.
The Hall address (218C) is already posted along with a locking mailbox at the main door. Canada Post has made all of the necessary changes and mail addressed to 218 Church Street will automatically be redirected to 218C Church Street (Hall/Office) free of charge for one year. The new delivery comes into effect on March 17, 2026.

From the Warden’s Corner…
This week the Diocesan Council approved our proposed renovation plans for the rectory. Getting the green light to proceed is certainly a milestone! This week the rectory is getting a fresh coat of paint inside and already it looks much brighter inside. Following the painting, work on improvements to the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom will start. As we renovate, our task will be to prepare a place in which Francis and Kassandra, Esha, and Byron and will feel at home. For the rectory to feel like a "home", will depend, not only on the appearance and amenities inside the residence, but also on how we welcome them as a parish into fellowship with us. As we refurbish the house therefore, let us consider small ways that we can welcome them when they arrive as we invite them to walk in God's love with us. The first thing we can do as a congregation is to pray regularly for them as they prepare to leave their home and community in Hay River and travel to Comox. A small sign of welcome might be by referring to the house as "Francis and Kass’s' home" and not as simply “the rectory”. Once the renovations are completed in June and before Francis arrives, we are planning to have an open house blessing service to which all will be invited. God is good! |

Flowers for the Sanctuary
A small group has been created to provide flowers for the sanctuary every week, starting on Easter Sunday. We would be delighted to have a couple more people join us in this flower ministry. Please speak to Yvonne Oldaker or Linda Hughes if you're interested.
Donations to help cover the cost of Easter flowers will be gratefully received.
Donations may also be made to cover the cost of flowers on future Sundays for an important personal celebration or in memory of a loved one. A sign up book will be placed in the entrance to the church, to indicate which Sunday you'd like to pay for flowers and in whose memory they are given.
Please place the money in the offertory plate in an envelope with your name and indicate it is for flowers. This will be added to your year-end tax receipt. If you would prefer to provide your own flowers please speak to a member of the flower group.
