What a joy it was worshipping with you and getting to know
some of you.
I wanted to send a brief note for clarification. For personal reasons my wife and I have decided we would take her family name of Spencer. I am now in the process of this change and I wanted to note
that you will now be seeing my name posted as
Reverend Francis Spencer instead of Delaplain.
I hope this does not cause undo confusion. Thank you for your understanding,

Lanyard Station Organized and Ready for Sunday!We have a wonderful update to share! This week, our parish lanyards were completely reorganized to make finding yours a breeze.
As we continue to welcome Francis into our community, please remember to find and wear your lanyard this coming Sunday. Having our names visible is a small but incredibly helpful way to assist Francis in learning everyone's names and getting to know
each of us personally.
If you do not already have a lanyard, please do not worry. We have provided blank badges and lanyards at the welcome station so you can easily create one before the service starts.

Parking Area UpdateHey everyone! Now that Reverend Francis and his family have arrived, we are asking that the parking area next to the rectory be used strictly by parishioners with mobility issues. This request applies not only on Sundays, but throughout the entire week as well.

Eyes pleading within furrowed face
Of fifteen years,

A child yourself with wheezing baby
Selling chiclets on the Avenida Madero.
What dispensation thrust upon your wraith-like form
Those tyrannies of hunger and despair
At such a tender age?
To hold you captive in their cruel grasp;
A bird in darkened cage
Without hope of a new day dawning.
You do not ask for much Maria.
No more than dog or cat would of their patron seek;
A little human warmth.
Yet here you stand barefooted and forlorn,
Pleading for compassion to deaf years,
And hearts long turned to stone.

The Avenida Madero is one of Mexico City’s most vibrant pedestrians only streets. Despite its upscale atmosphere it is also
frequented by the poor.
‘Las Marias’ refers to the many indigenous women and girls who sell their traditional handmade dolls and crafts and sometimes
chewing gum to the tourists.

Partners in Mission for JulyAlongside Hope has been connecting Anglicans in Canada to people in need since 1958. Once named for the Primate, the head of the Anglican Church in Canada, in 2024 the membership approved our new name. Alongside Hope is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development and relief. Since 1958, they have worked hand-in-hand with trusted partners in Canada and around the world on a journey of positive change. Together, we are improving health, food security and livelihoods where needs are greatest. Alongside Hope receives donations from people across Canada – Anglicans as well as non-Anglicans – and also receives funds from other sources, including Global Affairs Canada and institutional donors. Their volunteers promote Alongside Hope programs in churches and communities, to raise money and awareness about the needs of vulnerable people around the world. The staff in Toronto are careful stewards of these funds and work to ensure that development and relief programs are as efficient and effective as possible.
