COMBINED SERVICE and CELEBRATION on SUNDAY, JULY 5
Please mark your calendars well in advance for a very special Sunday on July 5. To ensure everyone can participate as one community, we are hosting a single, combined worship service at 9:30 AM. This means our early service attendees will meet one hour later than usual, while our late service attendees will meet one hour earlier.
This combined service marks Alan's last official service with us after 11 months of dedicated hard work and leadership. Following the worship service, Alan will officially bless our newly renovated Rectory. Afterward, we will open the doors of the Rectory to all parishioners so everyone can finally tour the building and see the wonderful makeover completed over the past several months.
Following the tour, we will gather in our newly renovated hall for a special social time to bid a fond farewell to Alan, Diana, and Trixie. We will not be hosting our usual full lunch, however, we have several meaningful moments planned to ensure this fellowship time is truly memorable for everyone.

Our bishop has issued a formal letter addressing Pride Month, offering guidance, prayerful insights, and context for our congregation. We encourage all members of our community to read it, reflect on its message, and join us in continuing our shared dialogue.
You can read the full statement here.
We pray that our community continues to be a place of mutual respect, deep faith, and thoughtful reflection.

A Familiar FaceAn Update from Sara Bronson Hello everyone! I am very overdue in my promised update. I feel like I barely got here and yet it's already been two months!
Things have been going really, really well, from roommates to classmates to school itself. I've just finished up midterms for this semester and they couldn't have gone better. I've been thrilled to find that I love scanning just as much as I remember, and this time I bring a lot more confidence and decisiveness. (I'm crediting my time at St Peter's for that last bit!) My roommates have been an answer to prayer. They're fun and kind, and we're able to laugh and cry and pray together. We've had some great God talks, almost always in the kitchen while we cook.
The program is really demanding, but I love it. I came to love my lab group very quickly. A couple of them can have the rest of us laughing until we're crying. It makes it a joy to go to school and work hard. My energy has held up amazingly well. I'm tired all the time, but in a normal, overworked student sort of way. Another big answer to prayer!
One of my classmates overheard me mentioning church and asked me about it. She was so excited to find another Christian in the program (there are only 16 of us and she didn't think the odds were great). I've started up a little homegroup with her and, strangely enough, the daughter of my Bible study leaders in Comox, who moved to Victoria about the same time I did. We meet every two weeks and it's become a highlight!
In the photos you can see me showing off my very full freezer, which I got with your going away gift. I don't think I can adequately describe what a godsend it is to me. Whenever I use it I think about my time at St Peter's.
I hope you're all doing well! If anyone would like to say hi I've let Boyd know he's welcome to pass on my email address. With much love, Sara

A Heartfelt Thank You to Amber and Quality Foods Comox
St Peter’s church and specifically the group of volunteers who operate the food shelf program , wish to say thank you to the Management of Quality Foods Comox as represented by Amber. The program welcomes 25-30 individuals each month who need food assistance. We had run out of bags for our customers to fill when Quality Foods generously donated a pallet of paper bags for our use. Again many thanks! |

Donations for Food Shelf
Right now we'd particularly appreciate donations of canned food items, such as vegetables or fruit. We are also in need of rice, peanut butter and jam, cookies or crackers and snack food. Most urgently, we are running extremely low on toilet paper and would greatly appreciate any donations of this essential item.
Thank you to everyone who's been stopping by with food! |

Partners in Mission for JulyAlongside Hope Alongside Hope has been connecting Anglicans in Canada to people in need since 1958. Once named for the Primate, the head of the Anglican Church in Canada, in 2024 the membership approved our new name. Alongside Hope is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development and relief. Since 1958, they have worked hand-in-hand with trusted partners in Canada and around the world on a journey of positive change. Together, we are improving health, food security and livelihoods where needs are greatest. Alongside Hope receives donations from people across Canada – Anglicans as well as non-Anglicans – and also receives funds from other sources, including Global Affairs Canada and institutional donors. Their volunteers promote Alongside Hope programs in churches and communities, to raise money and awareness about the needs of vulnerable people around the world. The staff in Toronto are careful stewards of these funds and work to ensure that development and relief programs are as efficient and effective as possible. Alongside Hope is committed to working in diverse communities and does not proselytize in its work. For more infomation visit:
