Help Decorate the Church for Thanksgiving

Help Decorate the Church for Thanksgiving

Saturday, October 11

As we will be celebrating Thanksgiving this Sunday we will be decorating the church on Saturday at 10:30 am.

We need your help, donations or loans of festive decorations would be much appreciated.  We can use pumpkins, apples, potatoes carrots etc. Unperishable food will be added to our food bank cupboard.  Also leaves and flowers, real or artificial, would be very useful. Any lent items can be picked up after the 10:30 service.

Changes to St Peter's Library

The library at St Peter's is being moved to the main hall. Leslie has curated an excellent library. We're hopign the change makes it both more visible and more accessible. 

Expect to see changes in the coming week!

Our Partner in Mission for September and October

Sonshine Lunch

St George's United Church, along with Society of St Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army, St John the Divine, and Bay Community, provide free, warm lunches five days a week.

St. Peter’s, along with the Free church provides lunch on the 4th Friday of the month and we welcome volunteers. Talk to Catherine or Yvonne if you would like more information. Rich and Yvonne were "soup makers supreme" at Septembers Sonshine lunch! Thank you to everyone who helped.

Everyone is warmly welcome, families, individuals of all ages, valley residents, and people passing through.

On October 25, 2025 Jim Peacock will be awarded the Order of the Diocese at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria. 

Jim is able to bring guests with him to this service. Some people have already indicated they would like to be there. There is still the chance to attend in person!
