From the Searcher's Journal...month five
As we enter month five in our search for a new Rector, the committee is pleased to report that progress is being made! The Committee completed preliminary online (zoom) screen interviews last week with several applicants, all of whom are excellent candidates. Canon Jenny will now arrange in person interviews for early January.
Now that the search has reached the interview stage, people understandably will have questions about who the candidates are. The applicants however, have asked us to not disclose their application at this stage of our transition journey. The candidates too, are on a journey to discern their call and where they are meant to serve Christ next. Premature disclosure of their interest in St Peters could jeopardize both their discernment process and harm their relationship with the congregation they currently serve. In the meantime therefore , we ask for your understanding and patience and that you continue to pray for search committee and the applicants as we try to discern who God is calling as St Peter's new Rector.

St George's is Holding a Faith Sharing WorkshopSaturday, November 29 St George's is inviting us to join them for a Faith Sharing Workshop: As Christians we are part of God’s wonderful story of reconciling love in Jesus Christ. God’s love story with humanity that we read about in Scripture is meant to be shared with all. Yet, so often as Christians we struggle to find the words to express our faith in an increasingly secular and pluralistic world. Do you struggle to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love? You are not alone and there is a hopeful way forward! Join Rev. Dr. Ross Lockhart for a fun and interactive workshop as we deepen our ability to speak the faith and cheerfully share the gospel story.
