From the Warden's Corner...
Waiting is rarely an easy task for most of us especially when we have been on a long journey and wish to know how long it will be until we arrive at our destination. If you are like me, this impatience tends to become stronger when I am close to arriving at my destination.
St Peter’s has been on a long journey since last spring searching for an incumbent Rector and our search committee is now in the midst of interviews to try to discern who will be called as our Rector. Though we are getting close to making a recommendation, we are not yet there!
With this in mind, I was comforted this morning by the words of Isaiah:
“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him.”
As we approach our destination, let us be patient and continue to pray. Although our committee is making good progress, there are still steps ahead until we arrive at our destination and our committee will keep you informed about progress at each milestone step along the way. Maranatha!
