Outreach is the work of connecting to the community outside the parish, those people who don't attend St. Peter's but are our neighbours, brothers and sisters, friends and colleagues. This is the face of the church that gets all the press and touches the most number of people in the community. This is where excitement, innovation, and Christian love combine to make a difference outside the walls of the church.
The official description: To represent the Parish with respect to all initiatives that involve outreach to the community. This includes our financial support to external groups/organizations to support their programs/events. Also included are our own programs designed to serve the community. Identify new opportunities in this regard and develop proposed ideas and associated costs.
Outreach initiatives include the Bridging the Gap food box ministry and the Blessings Boutique. The outreach committee also acts as liaison to our Partners in Mission.
