In three weeks the St. Peter’s Comox Team will set out on their Coldest Night of the Year Walk.  The St. Peter’s Comox team is walking a week later this year because some of our team members had a scheduling conflict. There is still room for more so join us in this wonderful time of fellowship as well as exercise. If walking is not your thing, please donate. We have raised 26% of our $3,500 goal! If you are uncomfortable about donating online, contact Catherine about donating by cheque.

One of the two not-for-profit agencies that our walk will support is Dawn-to-Dawn: Action on Homelessness. They believe that housing is a basic necessity and the foundation of good health, personal security, and a stable community. They help the homeless by taking direct action to solve immediate individual needs. Homelessness has many causes—job loss, physical and mental health issues, the high cost of housing and substance abuse. Dawn-to-Dawn offers a variety of housing solutions. In addition, they provide job skills training, physical/mental health treatment and recreation programs for the homeless.
