in Memoriam Marjorie Pope

Longtime member of St. Peter's, loved by all in the community for her loyalty, devotion to others, gentle nature, artistic works, and beautiful smile, Marjorie Catherine Pope, age 95, of Cumberland, British Columbia passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022. She was born December 5, 1926. Marjorie had a living, vibrant faith which she shared with all she met. She was the kind of Christian we are all called to become. When she asked “how are you?”, she meant it, and stopped to listen, as she really cared about people! She shared Jesus with everyone she met, no matter their age, and surely she was greeted with songs of joy, as she “went home”. She was an enthusiastic member of St Peter's and before that Denman Island. She loved children and had many come to her home to learn about her friend and constant companion Jesus. A great blessing to many, she and other prayer warriors went to St. Peter’s every Tuesday morning for many years to pray for others.
