WAYS TO DONATE TO THE CHURCH STREET REFUGEE SPONSORSHIP GROUP

Thank you for choosing to support the Church Street Refugee Sponsorship Group (CSRSG) in our quest to sponsor one couple, one family of three, and one single woman from East Africa. On September 10, 2023 our first refugees arrived in Vancouver, and became permanent residents of Canada. We are now awaiting the arrival of our remaining refugees. We are committed to walk beside each of our refugees for one year with personal support in English language, finding housing, employment, and integrating into Canadian society as well as financially.

With the increased cost of living, especially high rents, it has become apparent that we need to supplement the monies already raised, and we are asking for further donations to allow us to honor our commitment. St. Peter’s Comox, as the enabling parish, has graciously agreed to continue to support us in this mission.

Below are ways you can support the CSRSG through your generosity in donating to our mission. You can:

1. Write a cheque made out to ‘St. Peter’s Refugee Fund’ or put cash in an envelope clearly designated for St. Peter’s Refugee Fund with your contact information on the envelope, and either drop off or mail to St. Peter’s Comox, 218 Church Street, Comox, BC V9M 2G3. Alternatively you can place in the collection plate at the Sunday service.

2. E-transfer funds to ‘stpetersrefugee@gmail.com’ with your contact information in the message. This is set up as an automatic deposit, not requiring a security question.

3. Donate through Canada Helps by selecting from the dropdown menu ‘Church Street Refugee Sponsorship Group’. A charitable tax receipt will be generated by Canada Helps when you donate.

All donations to the St. Peter’s Refugee Fund will receive a charitable tax receipt annually in January either by email or mail.
